Motorbike Madness

Well, I think we can safely say I will not be the next Valentino Rossi, but I made it safely through the three days of VSO motorcycle training. I now not only have my CBT certificate (Compulsory Basic Training - not Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, though some of that could have been useful!), but also a VSO "Certificate of Competence". This is of no use or value to anyone, except that it satisfies VSO that I can be let loose on the roads of Thailand without being too much of a danger to myself or others. Thankfully I will have a bit of training out there as well, as I don't think I'll find much in common between the driving conditions on the Thai/Burma border and the roads around Kidderminster!
(Notice how one of the photos is a bit blurry because I was going SO fast! Or maybe the camera just shook a bit...)

  1. Go girl! Love the high viz jacket, do you get one of those in Thailand! So wish I had to ride a motorbike in PNG. When are you off? I'm off on Wednesday!!! Getting slightly manic now - I don't know if it's excitement or terror! Still don't have my passport back which is a minor concern. Good luck!
